Temporary Sanity is a recently renovated 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home located in the Gulf Gate neighborhood, just a short drive or bike ride from Siesta Key's Crescent Beach. This spacious property, which accommodates up to 8 guests, features a large lanai with a heated saltwater pool, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing vacation. The home is equipped with modern amenities and a stylish decor, providing a comfortable and convenient retreat. For added peace of mind, we’ve installed a pool door alarm as an extra layer of safety.
The interior includes a gourmet kitchen with a 10'x4' granite island, stainless steel appliances, and easy-access pull-out drawers. The adjacent dining area features a solid Indian Rosewood table that seats the entire family, and French doors lead to the covered lanai. This outdoor space is designed for relaxation and entertainment, with a large dining table that accommodates up to 10 people, a propane BBQ grill, a 50" flat screen TV, and poolside loungers—all enclosed in a bug-free screen cage.
Inside, the living room boasts a 60" flat screen TV, Xfinity cable, and WiFi, with additional seating options including a blue leather queen sofa sleeper. The sunroom offers a queen sofa sleeper with pool views and access to the lanai.
The master suite features a king bed, a spacious bathroom with shower, and French doors leading to a private sitting area and pool access. The second bedroom has a queen bed, while the third bedroom has twin beds that can be converted to a king bed for a fee. Both guest bedrooms share a modern bathroom with a step-in shower.
This non-smoking property accommodates a maximum of 8 people and includes parking for up to 3 cars. The location is convenient for exploring local dining and shopping options. Pre-approved small dogs are allowed under certain conditions (pet fee extra).

Summary: we've rented places in south florida each of the last two januaries. They were both good. This year's...was excellent! The home was spacious and well stocked! the heated pool with screened in back yard...was OUTSTANDING! The location of the home was in a safe, friendly neighborhood that was incredibly convenient to the beaches, the keys, downtown sarasota and a host of very nearby restaurants. The hosts left us information that was very helpful and certainly made us feel welcome. We hope to be back next year, same time.

Summary: We loved our month long stay and would love to come back. The house was clean, comfortable and fully stocked. The pool and patio were amazing. The location was perfect for us, in a quiet neighborhood and just a quick drive from the beach. The hosts were also excellent!

Summary: We really enjoyed our time here. We’ve been traveling since May and this is the best vacation rental experience we’ve had so far. The home has such a great layout and feel. It was so clean when we arrived. It was really nice not to feel the need to clean everything before unpacking. Response and communication from the host was very good. The neighborhood was pleasant. Many delicious places to eat only 2 min away. Must check out the clever cup for the best coffee ever. Gulf beer + food and screaming goat taqueria for lunch or dinner, and word of mouth for breakfast were our favs. It took under 10 min to get to a siesta key beach. The lanai and pool area was really a nice place to unwind and relax . We didn’t want to leave!
